2) Highest CD yields as of last week and the banks that offer them:
6 month  4.25%  Corus Bank (800) 9895101
1 year  4.65 %  same bank

Tennesse bank and GMAC bank as well as Imperial bank all offer similiar 
rates. (GOOGLE THEM UP)
I would not go farther out ( longer term) however for higher rates due 
to the inflation risk.
