[Money-matters] Money Matters Update Feb 18 2009

Marc's Notes:

Sorry these are so scarce lately. Typing is still difficult so I have to
keep them short.
As we said in last weeks update, 7900 on the Dow was tested and cracked thru
on the way to 7500. Here it sits now, getting little boost from the
"Obamanation" bailout.

Expect a new test of last years lows of 7100 or so. If it cracks thru that
which I think it will, 6500 is then in play. Incredibly a more the 50 %
decline since the Dows high.

Buy and hold NEVER works. They told you it did. Well, now you see it
doesn't. Sure it works in UP markets but so does my toaster. The Dows rise
over the past 3 decades was nothing more then inflation causing stock prices
to rise like a cup of coffee. All brought to you by the FEDERAL RESERVE
setting interest rates instead of letting the market do it.
Now the FEDS insist on stopping the natural correction. They will NOT BE
ABLE TO. (Sorry MD!)

Expect ANOTHER stimulus package in the summer or fall. Eventually they will
be forced to give up but only after a mitigated disaster takes place in our
currency markets. 

"GOT GOLD"  ??????????????????????/

Its time for you to DUMP your advisor if you haven't already. They led you
down the "buy and hold" path of no return, and you wont see a return of your
money for years.
The time is now to take your future into YOUR HANDS and out of theirs. It's
easy. Listen to the shows and learn its NOT THAT HARD. 
Just buy what we show you and forget about it!
No more worrying, no more big time losses, no more lost sleep. BUY AND HOLD
never worked, will never work, and DON'T DO IT!

Change we can count on?  Hardly. I have hope for this man Obama, but he is
throwing the SAME stuff at the problem (debt) but just more of it. "It wont
be enough".
This is no change we can count on. It is beginning to be a unprecedented
disaster in the making.
I ache every time I see these hacks on TV trying to tell me what they need
to do. What they need to do is sit back and DO NOTHING. The more they
meddle, the worse it gets.

Let the market fix it. Natural forces will FIX IT, with pain yes, but it
will be quick and painful and QUICK (GET THE QUICK PART YES?)

But they will doom us for another decade of misery if not all out currency
collapse. Watch the money POUR out of Washington. Its really out of hand,
don't ya think?

Holdings:
Safe money funds   Bank cds ( yes still)     SHY  VIPSX  TIP AND RRPIX in
equal amount for those who cant buy cds.
Gold- ADD    rising
Silver- Ditto      our SLV trade is up almost 50 % since mentioning it 2
months back   HOLD
Oil- we may test our lows again.  A listener shared DXO    oil double long
fund. Was at 29  now a tad under 2 !   thinking of buying 10,000 shares or
so and holding for 200 grand, Hummm
Obama plays- fading fast      I am holding a tad longer.  PHK   Pumps water
valve  engineering stocks  URE  UYG   gamblers only
Tankers - looking a tad better but do not add
Dividend payers- Hold   ok to add energy. It aint going to zero and our
dividend payers pay nicely.
Foreign currencies/ Swiss Annuities    ADD 
Contrary funds - ADD  HOLD     the market looks sick and getting sicker.
There is no bounce here at all.
UNWPX    precious metal fund- slowly rising- paid a huge dividend in
December   ADD
Physical gold and silver- getting harder to get ~      ADD if you can find
it
Shorts - wow money being made here.  Select your poison carefully though.  A
pop rally is right around the corner.

Upcoming Show:
